Christian Formation Opportunity during Lent

Join Deacon Ellen as we assess how our lives reflect our relationship with God during Lent. Deacon Ellen will offer a course through April 6. We will receive questions to ponder during the week, and there will be two opportunities to talk to others about these topics, Wednesdays at 10 AM and again at 6:30 PM. Discussions will include how we use time, the roles we have, the people who we spend time with and those who have influenced who we are, and our passions – those things that bring us joy and those things which we feel must be changed.  To see the weekly questions and the Zoom connection, refer to our bi-weekly emails or send an email to stjamesnlweb@gmail.com.

A Centering Prayer Meditation group meets on some Saturdays in the Hallam Chapel from 8:30 to 10 AM.  See the website main page for upcoming meetings.  Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us. The website www.contemplativeoutreach.org is a wonderful website to look deeper into this meditation practice.
