Our Annual Parish Meeting will be Sunday, January 31st after the 9am service....

Almighty and everlasting Father, who hast given the Holy Spirit to abide with us for ever: Bless, we beseech thee, with his grace and presence, the clergy and the laity here soon to be assembled in thy Name, that thy Church, and especially this family at St James Parish, being preserved in true faith and godly discipline, may fulfill all the mind of him who loved it and gave himself for it, thy Son Jesus Christ our Savior; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

On Sunday, January 31st, St James will hold its Annual Parish Meeting.  There will be only one service that day, at 9 am, so that we may gather together as a single parish family and transact the "business" of our parish.

That day, immediately following the 9 am service, Parish financials will be presented, an Annual Report of the various committees and ministries of St James will be distributed, and new officers of the parish will be elected by members in good standing.

The following is a canonical ("legal") description of a member in good-standing:

  • Be baptized;
  • Be at least 16 years of age or older;
  • Be faithful in corporate worship;
  • Received communion at least three times during the preceding year;
  • And, contributed to the financial well-being f the congregation.

Only members in "good standing" will be eligible to vote for our new officers, however, all are invited to attend, become more informed about the life of St James, and prepare yourself to participate more fully in the life of St James' parish family.

Please plan on joining us that day- it's important (and, there's no such thing as an "absentee ballot"!)
